NOTES:
Edgar worked as a junior merchant and at age 29 joined 112th Battalion, became a Lieutenant, and went overseas. He became an intelligence officer with the 25th Battalion and at Hill 70 he won the Military Cross for heroic actions. He held the rank of Captain at the time he was killed. Ethel took in roomers as a vocation, raised her two sons, put both through college and lived to 102.
